SCU/MP 97 Boys Elite Win CSA Tournament

SCU/MP 97 Boys Elite- Champions CSA U14 Top Flight

The 97 Boys Elite started the spring 2012 season in a strong fashion going 4-0 in the top flight of the Charlotte Soccer Academy tournament. The team only conceded two goals all weekend. Playing at Manchester Meadows on the turf fields the team took full advantage of the field size. The boys moved the ball in fantastic fashion using their possession to create great goal scoring chances. The team now has a few weeks to prepare for the start of their region three premier league spring season.

SCU/MP Girls Selected for National Camp

Kallie Peurifoy (93 Girls Elite) and Raymara Barreto (96 Girls Elite) have been chosen for this winter’s USYS ODP National Camp at the Zahler Sports Complex in Las Vegas, NV from February 7-12. Congratulations Kallie and Raymara!

Select Director of Coaching Kian Brownlee had this to say about the two players, “These two players are an excellent example of our training methods and club’s philosophy focusing on individual technical development as well as the emphasis that we have put on our girls program the past five years finding great coaches that love to work with our players being proven. Kallie and Raymara are superb players. It has been a pleasure training them. I hope that all players in our club will continue to aspire to these heights. The club has now produced 3 girls in the past 2 years that have been involved in a US National Team Camps, the first being Miranda Weslake (also of the 96 Girls Elite) in 2010. We will continue as a club focusing on player development and I look forward to seeing future players selected for these events. Great job Kallie and Raymara!”
